Katharine is a Senior Associate in our Personal Injury Group. She has experience conducting all aspects of a personal injury file, including examinations for discovery, mediation and settlement negotiations, preparing for and attending complex chamber applications, and preparing for and attending trials. Katharine practices personal injury law in British Columbia and Alberta. In addition to personal injury claims, her practice is focused on representing survivors of sexual assault and institutional abuse, guiding clients through these sensitive and often complex claims with care and discretion. Katharine has appeared at both the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia for both family and personal injury matters.
Before joining Watson Goepel, Katharine worked at a boutique corporate commercial litigation firm, where she gained experience working on interesting commercial disputes, as well as working on family law files, with a focus on complex asset and property division. Prior to that, she worked for three years in personal injury law, with a primary focus on plaintiff motor vehicle accident cases, and articled and worked at a family law firm in New Westminster.
In her spare time, Katharine enjoys travel, Barry’s classes, taking her rescue dog Monty for long walks, and spending time with her family on Mayne Island, where she was born and raised.
