''Joining the Litigation group is an exciting opportunity for me. My background in genetics and law, coupled with my extensive research experience and passion for oral advocacy, has prepared me to contribute effectively.''

Alina Gdaniec works primarily with our Litigation Group.

Alina holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetics with a minor in Classical Studies and a J.D., both from Western University. During her time at Western, she was deeply involved in various research projects, serving as a research assistant for three different professors. She played a key part in drafting an SSHRC Insight Grant Application for a five-year project on the architecture of law schools, which was successfully approved in March 2023.

In addition to her research experience, Alina has a strong interest in oral advocacy and has competed in numerous oral advocacy competitions. Her team advanced to the final round in the prestigious Davies Corporate Securities Moot in 2023. She also acted as a student coach for the moot the following year.

In her spare time Alina enjoys hiking, reading, rock climbing, and traveling. She is an avid lover of the outdoors and is always looking to experience new things and expand her world view.
