Chronic Pain

Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is typically described as pain that lasts more than six months.

Working through your challenges.

Chronic pain can be caused by any injury and can last several months, several years, or remain indefinitely. Chronic pain can arise from a fracture that did not heal properly, but can also come from soft tissue, or muscle injuries.

Chronic pain is often difficult to diagnose, and to prove in court. It is rare, and oftentimes impossible, for doctors or medical providers to measure the pain in an objective way. There may not be any visible damage to the area that causes pain. This does not mean chronic pain is not “real” or that it is not “serious.” However, if you suffer from chronic pain, it is important to seek out active treatment and to document the ongoing nature of the injury.
