Having grown up in the Lower Mainland, Anny earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University (SFU) before obtaining her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law (UVic Law).
During her undergraduate studies and law school, Anny gained diverse legal, research and advocacy experience. She worked as a legal administrative assistant for four years and co-authored two research studies examining sexual homicides while attending SFU. She later worked as a Research Assistant at UVic Law to assist with updates to Remedies: The Law of Damages. Anny also assisted defence counsel in a criminal sexual assault trial and worked as a legal advocate for a non-profit organization to help tenants navigate their residential tenancy issues.
Outside of work, Anny enjoys trying new restaurants with close friends and family. She also loves exploring dog-friendly patios and seeking out new adventures with her beloved dog, Bentley.
