We are currently seeking a full-time Marketing & Business Development Assistant to join our Vancouver office supporting the Marketing & Business Development Manager in executing all growth initiatives. As a vital member of our marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in executing marketing strategies, fostering business growth, and enhancing the firm’s brand presence.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, purposeful, thrives in a fast-paced working environment, and enjoys connecting with people. We are seeking a charismatic individual who will be a key component in the expansion and success of the marketing & business development department.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Marketing and Business Development Manager to execute all marketing and business development tactics to drive growth for the firm.

  • Assist in organizing and executing marketing campaigns, events, and promotional activities.
  • Support the growth and maintenance of the firm’s online presence across various platforms, including the website and social media.
  • Support the development of new client relationships and the retention of existing clients. Assist in researching and identifying potential clients, industry trends, and market opportunities to target specific sectors effectively.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, pitch materials, and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Assist in creating marketing collaterals for the firm and different practice areas.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Marketing & Business Development Manager: communication with accounting, confirming payments, sending cheques, coordinating meetings/photoshoot schedules, etc.
  • Support with tracking the performance of marketing initiatives (KPIs) and help with reporting.
  • Help coordinate business development initiatives such as speaking engagements and sponsorships.
  • Support in end-of-year holiday initiatives such as gifting and client communications.
  • Support planning, organizing, and executing firm events.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of the social media calendar.
  • Communicate with external vendors.
  • Works on other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or post-secondary diploma or degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business, or related field.
  • One to three years of experience in marketing, business development, or related roles within the legal industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for different marketing channels.
  • Familiarity with the following platforms: MailChimp, Google Ads, Analytics GA4, Canva, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
  • Experienced in managing social media accounts, mainly LinkedIn & Instagram.
  • Experienced in writing blogs.
  • Experienced in website management through WordPress.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, strategies, and best practices, using GA4.
  • Experienced in assisting with event planning.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Creative, resourceful with a good eye for design.
  • Tech-savvy and results-driven.

Salary: $50,000 – 58,000 annually
